The Willow Springs Bears traveled to Houston on Friday night to face the Tigers. This game is the regular season finale. The Bears entered the contest with a record of (11-14) and the Tigers were (6-17).
The game was tight throughout the first half. Each team seemed to be a bit sluggish on the offensive side of things, however the scoring was back and forth for most of the half. The biggest lead either team could muster was five points. Houston led the Bears 18-13 after the first quarter. The Bears were able to respond in the second quarter and take a lead going into halftime, 26-24.
The second half continued to play out the same as the first half. Each team scored fifteen points in the third quarter. Willow Springs continued to holed the lead 41-39. During the fourth quarter, the Bears were able to gain separation and get the biggest lead of the game for either team. Willow Springs went on to win 56-46.
The Bears will play in the first round of the district tournament on Tuesday, facing the Seymour Tigers at 4:30.
