The Lady Zizzers, in their first game of Districts, faced off against the Marshfield Bluejays. The first quarter made it seem that both teams would come out swinging and come to an even match. The second quarter showed otherwise. The Lady Zizzers took a hard lead through force, outmaneuvering the Bluejays and breaking the balance of the first half of the game. The first half ended with the Zizzers leading 44 to 16.
Despite the hard lead in the first half, the third quarter of the game started with the Zizzers taking their pressure off and lacking the coordination seen before. Despite this, the overwhelming gap was not overcome, and the Zizzers maintained their lead with a score of 54 to 28. The fourth and final quarter was much like the first, showing each team vying for points on relatively equal standing. However, the lead that the Lady Zizzers obtained in the second quarter just made too high a wall for the Bluejays to surmount.
