(St. Louis) The St. Louis Blues have called up highly touted defenseman Scott Perunovich from their American Hockey League affiliate.
The moves made by the Blues to stay salary cap compliant also included sending goalie Joel Hofer and forwards Dakota Joshua and Calle Rosen. Forward Kyle Clifford was waived by the team after signing a free agent contract in the off-season.
Perunovich’s arrival has been anxiously anticipated. After winning the Hobey Baker Award while playing at Minnesota Duluth, the defenseman had been leading the American Hockey League in scoring.
