Braves 4, Cardinals 1

The Cardinals racked up ten hits but only scored once during a 4-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves at Busch Stadium. All nine hitters in the line-up and a pinch-hitter all had at least one hit, but the Cardinals went two-for-six with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base. Steven Matz was shaky in his first start of the season, surrendering four runs on ten hits in five-and-a-third innings for the loss. The Cardinals have lost their last two games and are now 2-and-3. Miles Mikolas takes the mound for St. Louis this afternoon.
