Oscar Mercado knocked in five runs as the Cardinals defeated the Dodgers 10-5 in St. Louis. Mercado finished 3-for-4 at the plate, while Paul DeJong [[ de-YUNG ]] homered and plated four runs in the victory. Drew VerHagen collected the win in relief after starter Jack Flaherty gave up three runs over four-and-two-thirds frames. St. Louis won the four-game series and improved to 21-and-27. Clayton Kershaw suffered his fourth loss after surrendering four runs in less than four innings. Los Angeles combined for six hits as the team dropped to 29-and-19.
