Willson Contreras led the Cardinals to a 3-1 win over the Cubs in his first game back at Wrigley Field. The former Cubs catcher went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in the victory. Genesis Cabrera earned his first win out of the bullpen, and Ryan Helsley picked up his fourth save. The Cardinals have won two in-a-row on the heels of an eight-game losing streak. Marcus Stroman was charged with his third loss after surrendering two runs in six innings. Dansby Swanson doubled in the lone run for the Cubs, who have dropped five of seven.
