Cardinals 8, Nationals 6

The Cardinals staged a big rally and beat the Nationals 8-6 in DC. St. Louis trailed 5-0 heading into the third inning until Tommy Edman and Paul Goldschmidt each knocked in a run to cut the deficit to three. Brendan Donovan and Goldschmidt blasted back-to-back homers as part of a four-run fifth inning to take the lead. Jordan Hicks earned his third save of the season to complete the comeback victory. The Cards have won three straight games and are last in the NL Central at 30-and-43. Luis Garcia drove in four runs for Washington, which has lost four in a row. The Nats are last in the NL East with a 27-and-44 record.
