The Cardinals extended their winning streak to four games following a 9-3 victory over the Nationals in DC. Jordan Montgomery earned the win after surrendering one run on four hits while striking out six batters over seven innings. Dylan Carlson launched a pair of homers and drove in three runs while Paul DeJong also went yard. St. Louis improved to 31-and-43. The Cards are last in the NL Central.
