The Cardinals ended a rough 2023 season with a 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals helped knock their division rivals out of playoff contention by winning two of three over the weekend. Jordan Walker hit a game-tying double in the bottom of the third, and Luken Baker put St. Louis up for good with a go-ahead double later in the inning. Miles Mikolas earned his ninth win after striking out ten and holding Cincinnati to three runs on seven hits in seven innings, while Ryan Helsley picked up his 14th save. The Cardinals finished the season in last place in the NL Central with a 71-and-91 record, and they now head into the offseason.
Before the game there was a pre-game ceremony for Adam Wainwright who retires with 200 career wins.
