The “victory celebration” will take place during halftime activities of the Grizzly Basketball game Wednesday evening against Three Rivers College from Poplar Bluff. The basketball game tips off at 7 p.m. at Joe Paul Evans Arena in the West Plains Civic Center.

This was the third time the Grizzlies (30-6) have placed third at the event. The Grizzlies also placed third in 2005 and 2006. The highest they have placed at nationals is second, which they did three times – in 2002, 2003 and 2009.

MSU-WP made its 17th appearance at the national tournament this fall, and its second in one calendar year. The 2020 national tournament was held in April at the West Plains Civic Center due to the pandemic.

“Please come out to support our basketball team and help us celebrate a significant accomplishment in our school’s history by our volleyball team,” said Crockett W. Oaks III, interim athletic director of Grizzly Athletics.

To purchase tickets for Wednesday’s game, stop by the West Plains Civic Center box office during regular business hours or visit https://www.msuwpgrizzlies.com/general/tickets to purchase online.
