WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Basketball team will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the semifinals of the NJCAA Region 16 Basketball Championship Tournament.
Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Jared Phay said the Grizzlies’ semifinal game with the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds was to have taken place at 5 p.m. Friday on the Mineral Area College (MAC) campus in Park Hills, but it was moved to the new time slot after the results of Tuesday’s play-in game between State Fair Community College and Three Rivers College. State Fair defeated the Raiders 72-64 in Poplar Bluff.
The Roadrunners will now play top seeded and undefeated Mineral Area College (MAC) at 5 p.m. prior to the MSU-WP/Moberly game.
The winners of both games will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday in the championship game at Park Hills.
Fans will be allowed to attend the games, but seating will be limited, Phay said. Tickets will only be available at the door.
Phay is looking forward to another tough contest with the Greyhounds. “We’ve had some battles with Moberly this year, and we expect another great game,” he said.
