Charlie Phillips of Savannah was representing the United States and Special Olympics Missouri at the World Games in Berlin, Germany. Charlie, a powerlifter took bronze in the deadlift at 435.5 pounds. Silver in the bench press at 253.5 pounds and silver in the squat at 358 ¼ pounds. This was a lifelong dream of Charlie’s to represent the US and one of his idols was Michael Phelps.
