Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne announced his retirement from the NFL.
Shortly after Kansas City defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl 2023, Henne shared a photo of himself celebrating the championship on the field at State Farm Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. He wrote, “Calling it a career.”
Henne added that he is “capping it off” with a Bud Light and “another ring.”
Henne played in the league for 13 years after he was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2008. During his career, he played for the Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chiefs.
While Patrick Mahomes lead the way to Super Bowl 2023 for Kansas City, Henne filled in for the NFL’s MVP while he was injured.
