The Chiefs and offensive tackle Wanya Morris have agreed to explore trade options, according to ESPN. Morris has started 16 games over the past three seasons and is seeking a larger role. Kansas City selected the 25-year-old out of Oklahoma in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Chiefs will rely heavily on second-year player Josh Simmons, who was rehabbing a knee injury before the start of last year and missed an extended period of time due to a personal matter. Now, Simmons has slimmed down and is healthy entering year two.
The Chiefs are back on the field today to continue their three-day mandatory minicamp. Kansas City will hold practices today and tomorrow before taking time off leading into training camp in late July.
Kicker Harrison Butker is healthy after an extended offseason.
