With Trent McDuffie firmly locked into the top cornerback spot for the Chiefs, three other cornerbacks have looked to prove who can be number two during camp. Joshua Williams, Nazeeh Johnson, and Jaylen Watson are all guys who have experience with the team and have been competing to earn that job. Watson says the competition has been fun, but it’s nothing new.

Watson played through most of last season with a shoulder injury, choosing not to sit out. Since returning, Watson says it’s been a challenge
Watson is competing with oshua Williams and Nazeeh Johnson to earn the number two cornerback spot behind Trent McDuffie. The Chiefs practice again today at 9:15.

On top of a battle for the second cornerback spot, another battle has caught the eyes of fans during Chiefs Training Camp in St. Joseph. The battle for the starting left tackle between second-year pro-Wanya (Wan-ye) Morris and rookie Kingsley Suamataia (Sue-ah-ma-tay-ah) has been one of the biggest camp battles. Suamataia got his first bit of game action on Saturday against the Jaguars and says he feels good about his performance
With Morris currently injured, Suamataia has been getting most of the reps with the first-team offense and does look poised to earn the starting job.
