Chiefs’ Guard Joe Thuney Unlikely To Play In AFC Championship

(Kansas City, MO) — The Chiefs may be without one of their premier players in the AFC Championship. ESPN reports that Kansas City left guard Joe Thuney [[ TOO-nee ]] is unlikely to play in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens. Thuney suffered a pectoral injury late in the Chiefs’ win over the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round last weekend. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Nick Allegretti, who has started 13 games during his five-year NFL career. Thuney was selected to his second career Pro Bowl this season.

Chiefs Visit Ravens In AFC Championship Game On Sunday

(Baltimore, MD) — The Chiefs are continuing to prepare for the AFC Championship. Kansas City will visit Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Stadium. Defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi, wide receiver Skyy Moore, right guard Trey Smith, safety Mike Edwards, running back Isiah Pacheco and left guard Joe Thuney did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Linebacker Willie Gay Jr., quarterback Blaine Gabbert and cornerback L’Jarius Sneed were limited in the session. In other news, the team has designated offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho to return from injured reserve.
