(Kansas City, MO) — The Chiefs are adding another speedy wide receiver to the roster. ESPN is reporting that former New England Patriots wide receiver Tyquan Thornton plans to sign to Kansas City’s practice squad. Thornton was waived on Saturday by the Patriots and cleared waivers on Monday. The 24-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2022 draft out of Baylor after running a 4.28-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. He has 39 catches for 385 yards and two touchdowns through 28 career games.

(Charlotte, NC) — The Chiefs are aiming to bounce back from their first loss of the season in Week 12. Kansas City will visit the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon at Bank of America Stadium. The Chiefs are coming off a 30-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Patrick Mahomes completed 23-of-33 passes for 196 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the losing effort. NFL Network reports that running back Isiah Pacheco is expected to be ready to return from injured reserve this week. The Chiefs are atop the AFC West at 9-and-1.
