Chiefs spring training camp reports

The Chiefs have been without rookie receiver Xavier Worthy through the last few practices due to an illness. Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy says when they are about to get Worthy on the field again will be beautiful.

Head Coach Andy Reid said Worthy was getting better. Kansas City also lost receiver Justin Watson today at practice with a foot injury. There is no practice on Thursday. The first full padded practice will be on Friday.

Chiefs cornerback Nazeeh Johnson left practice on Wednesday with a knee injury. Kansas City practiced again for close to two hours in jerseys and shorts. There is no practice on Thursday. The first full padded practice is on Friday at 9:15.

New Chiefs wide receiver Hollywood Brown has shown quite the connection with Patrick Mahomes through the first four practices at Missouri Western. Brown says the work with Mahomes that’s been shown started early in the offseason

This year’s wide receivers show a lot of speed and ability to stretch the field. Brown says he’s excited to be a part of a room that has Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice, and Mecole Hardman among others.

The Chiefs will have an off day from practice today. They return to the practice fields on Friday for the first day with full pads at 9:15.
