Chiefs take measure to protect fans ahead of bitter cold playoff game

The Chiefs will be taking extra steps to make sure fans are as comfortable as they can be with subzero temps expected for Saturday night’s playoff game against the Dolphins. They’ll be serving free hot cocoa and have warming stations set up outside and inside Arrowhead. Fans will be allowed to bring blankets inside and 3 by 5-foot pieces of cardboard that they can place on the ground for their feet. Local forecasters are predicting -9 wind chills for pregame tailgating, -12 wind chills and kickoff and -15 by the end of the game.
