Chiefs Training Camp Reports

It was the third workout in full pads and it was the longest practice of camp thus far, stretching nearly 2.5 hours. Head coach Andy Reid says it was a productive day all around.

Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was absent for a second straight day due to illness. Jody Forston, Mike Danna, Turk Wharton and Kadarius Toney all remain sidelined. Chris Jones has not yet reported. The Chiefs are back to work Monday (this) morning.

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a blow this training camp when corner Nazeeh (Noz-ee) Johnson went down with an ACL tear toward the end of Saturday’s practice at Missouri Western. Johnson had been working primarily with the first-team defense, and the seventh-round draft pick out of Marshall was making big strides in just his second year as a pro. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid says Johnson has also contributed on special teams in a big way.

Johnson and linebacker Isaiah Moore are likely headed toward the injured reserve list. Moore is set to have knee surgery after getting injured in camp.
The Chiefs practice again Monday and will rest on Tuesday.
