Craig Named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week

Mizzou kicker Blake Craig earned Southeastern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday morning following the Tigers’ dominant 34-10 win at Arkansas.

Craig drilled a pair of field goals in rainy conditions to help the Tigers earn a fifth-straight Battle Line Rivalry victory, including a 53-yarder to mark his fifth from 50-plus this season. He added a make from 31 yards out.

His 53-yard field goal marked the 12th of his career to bring him one shy of Harrison Mevis‘ program record of 13 field goals of 50-plus yards. Craig leads the SEC in field goals per game this season (1.64) and ranks 13th nationally.

Next up, No. 19 Missouri hosts a top-20 SEC matchup, welcoming No. 10 Texas to Memorial Stadium, on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 6:45 p.m. on ESPN.
