Eagles Take Flight In Ava

The Liberty Eagles went on the road to Ava, Missouri to take on the conference opponents and the last regular season game against the Bears. It was a back and forth, tight game throughout, as it was Senior Night for the Bears. Liberty fell behind early as at the half it was a 3 point lead for the Bears at 28-25. But, Zack Stretch caught fire in the second half and scored 19 points and had a total of 20 points in the game, Kaden Daniels also had 20 and Jaris Acklin had 12. For the Ava Bears Dalton led all scorers with 24 points, while Swafford had 11 and Bruce had 10. The final seconds of the game saw the Eagles go ahead with Kaden Daniels hitting one of two free throws essentially icing the game for the Eagles with the score 58-55. This is just the 5th loss of the season for the Bears as they fall to 18-5 while the Eagles improve to 16-7.
