WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Softball team has its third signee for its inaugural season.
Aubrey Antle, a four-year starting pitcher with the Exeter High School Lady Tigers softball team, has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Grizzlies, MSU-WP Head Coach Don Long said.
“We’re excited to have Aubrey sign with MSU-WP softball,” Long said. “She throws a lot of off-speed pitches, which keeps the hitters off balance, and she is a hard worker with a big stick.
“She’s also a really good kid, and her academics are strong,” Long added.
Antle earned first team all-district honors in 2021 as she helped guide her Lady Tigers to a 13-6 record and the team’s first ever appearance in the district title game.
Statistically, Antle led Exeter from the mound, posting an ERA of 3.161 with 108 strikeouts, 23 walks and 42 earned runs. She also led the team at the plate, hitting .672 with 19 singles, 15 doubles, one triple and 4 home runs.
She will join fellow Grizzly Softball signees West Plains’ Megan McCrackin and Mountain Grove’s Trinity Elliott. Both signed their letters during the Grizzlies Gala April 8.
