Despite a strong start from Mizzou, led by sophomore Anthony Robinson II with a career-high 16 points and seven assists, Memphis took control after halftime, mounting a 24-7 run to turn a 13-point deficit into a 60-56 lead. PJ Haggerty’s scoring surge, including a seven-point spurt, widened Memphis’s lead to eight, ultimately securing the victory as Missouri couldn’t close the gap beyond five in the closing minutes.
