Officials at Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) are looking for new coaches for the Grizzly Softball team. University officials today announced that Head Coach Don Long, Assistant Coach Amy Marshall and Team Coordinator Ashley Cooley are stepping down from their respective roles with the team. Officials said a search will begin immediately for a new head coach and assistant coach.

The Marshfield High School AD contacted West Plains schools AD indicating the SMFOA has required Week 8 (10/18/2024) football game @ Marshfield to be moved to a Thursday or Saturday. Marshfield is unable to accommodate the game on Thursday; 10/17/2024. Therefore, the game has been moved to Saturday; 10/19/2024. Game time has not yet been confirmed.
Congratulations to Liberty Eagle Eli Moore on being selected to the Class 3 Missouri State Senior-Star team. He plays his All-Star game on Saturday June 8th. Also Eli Moore broke the all-time Liberty Eagle Single-Season Stolen Base record with his 25th stolen base. He edges out John Egly (1998), James Sharp (2010) and Koel Orchard (2018) who were all tied at 24. Eli is also sporting a .458 Batting Average slugging .708 with a .536 On-Base Percentage.
