Brandon Saad came through in the clutch as the Blues beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in overtime at Enterprise Center. Saad knocked in the game-winning goal in the third minute of the extra period to give St. Louis the victory. Brayden Schenn added two goals in the win. St. Louis is just three points out of the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference with 84 points and a 40-31-and-4 record. The Blues are at Nashville on Thursday night.

The Royals dropped their series opener in Baltimore after falling 6-4 to the Orioles. Michael Wacha started the game and allowed three runs over five innings of work. An attorney for Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice says he is cooperating with Dallas police who are investigating a Saturday racing crash on North Central Expressway that injured four people. The attorney said, “Rashee is cooperating with authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.” Police had been searching for Rice in connection with the crash. One of the vehicles involved was registered to or leased by Rice. It’s unclear if Rice was driving or if he was in the vehicle. Four people were injured, with two going to the hospital. After the crash, everyone in the two racing vehicles got out in the middle of the highway and fled.
