The West Plains Lady Zizzers are your 2023 Ozark Conference Swimming Champions! The 11 Lady Zizzer swimmers scored in every swim and medaled in 18 swims at the meet at the John H. Foster Natatorium in Springfield. They amassed 295 points to better conference foes Glendale (240). This is the first conference championship for Zizzer Swimming in its ninth year as a program.
West Plains Parks and Recreation will be having and Adult 18 and older and high school 13 to 17 volleyball league. Registration is going on now till February 17th. It’s a ten-game season plus a tournament cost for the league is $400.00 per team. You can register your team at the Parks Office or call 417-256 -7304 games will start in March.

The Missouri men’s basketball team cruised to a 78-61 victory over No. 12 Iowa State Saturday in front of a sold-out crowd at Mizzou Arena. The Tigers used a strong run that spanned the end of the first half into the beginning of the second, earning its fourth ranked win of the season to improve to 16-5. The nationally-ranked Cyclones, meanwhile, fall to 15-5 on the year.
The Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the Super Bowl for the third time in the last four years. Harrison Butker drilled a game-winning 45-yard field goal as the Chiefs edged the Bengals 23-20 in the AFC Championship in Kansas City. Butker was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goal kicks and Patrick Mahomes tossed a pair of touchdowns in the victory. Kansas City will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57 on February 12th in Glendale, Arizona. Joe Burrow threw for 270 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the losing effort. Cincinnati came up just short of advancing to a second straight Super Bowl.
