Again, the Cardinals and the Cubs play this Saturday at Noon and Sunday at 9am in England all on KWPM 1450 News Talk Radio and KUKU 100.3 Classic Country.

 

The St. Louis Blues currently have nine selections at the 2023 NHL Draft, which will be held June 28-29 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Those nine picks will include three in the first round – the most since the team also had three selections at the 2007 NHL Draft. live coverage of the 2023 NHL Draft. Round 1 airs on June 28 at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN, and Rounds 2-7 will be available on NHL Network on June 29 beginning at 10 a.m. Both days also will be available on ESPN+.

 

Sign-up is now open for the 2023 ORN Cares Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Foster Adopt Connect. This two-man scramble will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the North Terra Golf Course in West Plains. Morning Tee Time will be at 8 a.m. with a 7:30 a.m. check-in. The afternoon session will have a check-in time of 12:30 p.m. and a 1 p.m. Tee Time. The cost per team is $150. Missouri State’s 2023 football season opener at Kansas has been moved back a day to Friday, Sept. 1, the host school announced today (June 8). The game will still kick off at 7 p.m. (Central) and air on ESPN+ and Big 12 Now streaming services. The change was made to help accommodate an update in KU’s Sept. 8 contest against Illinois, which will now move to a nationally televised game.  MSU first-year head coach Ryan Beard returns 11 starters, 38 lettermen and 62 total squad members from last season in which the Bears won three of their last four contests to end the season. Missouri State’s home opener will take place on Saturday, Sept. 23 against Utah Tech.

 

Former Mizzou Tiger Kobe Brown was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers with the 30th and final pick of the first round of last night’s NBA Draft.

 Brown becomes the 48th player in Mizzou history to be selected in the NBA Draft and the 16th standout to hear his name called in the first round – the first Tiger to be drafted since Michael Porter Jr. went 14th overall to the Denver Nuggets in 2018.
