The Ed and Judy North 2 person 18 hole scramble golf tournament will be held this Saturday at North Terra Golf Course in West Plains. Sign in starts at 11am and tee time of noon. There will be a beer garden and live music. On the course there will be hole prizes and cash payout in flights along with raffles. Sign your team up at North Terra Golf Course today.
The West Plains Country Club Ladies Association is hosting a luau themed 4-lady golf scramble on Friday August 25th at 9:00 a.m. This is open to non-members and proceeds go to the Pregnancy Resource Center of West Plains, a local non-profit. Ladies may register for the tournament at $300 per team and can call the pro shop at 417-257-2726 with questions.
Liberty Lady Eagles Volleyball team will travel to Mountain Grove for a jamboree on Aug. 24 with the host Panthers and Summersville. The Eagles open the season on Aug. 28 at home against Licking.

The Grizzlies second softball season, which will see them move from NJCAA Division II to Division I competition, will begin at the West Plains Parks and Recreation Department softball fields adjacent to the high school parking lot, the home field for the Grizzlies. The team’s annual tailgate event takes place Sept. 9 during the Grizzlies’ home double header against the Mountain Home (Arkansas) Diamonds club team.
