The Grizzlies second softball season, which will see them move from NJCAA Division II to Division I competition. The team’s annual tailgate event takes place Sept. 9 during the Grizzlies’ home double header against the Mountain Home (Arkansas) Diamonds club team at the West Plains Parks and Recreation Department softball fields adjacent to the high school parking lot, the home field for the Grizzlies.
The Ed and Judy North 2 person 18 hole scramble golf tournament will be held this Saturday at North Terra Golf Course in West Plains. Sign in starts at 11am and tee time of noon. There will be a beer garden and live music. On the course there will be hole prizes and cash payout in flights along with raffles. Sign your team up at North Terra Golf Course today.

Evangel Valor football 2023 season and inaugural season in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) highlighted by five home games that will be played at Eagle Stadium in Nixa, Evangel opens the season on Saturday, August 26, under the lights against the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. The Valor will make its first road trip on Saturday, Sept. 2, against the Tabor College Bluejays in Hillsboro, Kansas, before returning home to host the Sterling College Warriors on Sept. 9, at 6:00 p.m. 15 area football players are playing for Evangel this year.
