High School football is down to semi finals and a battle to get to the state championship game. In class 1 semi finals to be played this Saturday. Marionville will host St. Vincent at 1pm and on the other side of the bracket North Platte will host Milan on Saturday at 1pm. Class 2 Valle Catholic will host Fair Grove at 1pm on Saturday. And on the other side of the bracket in class 2 Lamar host Bowling Green at 1pm on Saturday. In class 3 semi finals football Central Park Hills will host Blair Oaks Saturday at 1pm. Also in class 3 Seneca will host St. Pius X Saturday at 1pm. Class 4 semi finals to be played on Saturday at 1pm Hillsboro host Lutheran North and Jefferson City host Kearney. In class 5 semi final football for this Saturday Central Cape Gerardo will host Cardinal Ritter at 1pm and republic host Webb City at 1pm.

Per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, Lynn has agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract with the Cardinals. With this deal, Lynn returns to where his professional career began. A first-round pick of the Cardinals in 2008, Lynn debuted for St. Louis in 2011 and remained with the club through 2017. He went 72-47 with a 3.38 ERA in 193 appearances for the team, winning a World Series title in 2011 and earning an All-Star nod in 2012.
