The West Plains Lady Zizzer softball team picked up a round one district win last night over Marshfield 6-2. The Lady Zizzers will play Branson tonight at 630 in the semi finals of Class 4 district 6 tournament being played at Glendale.

District Volleyball Tournaments coming up. Class 4 district 5 tournament played at Jefferson City- #8 West Plains vs #1 Jefferson City 7pm Thursday Oct 20^th. Class 3 district 11 tournament played at Hollister. #1 Mountain Grove and #2 Forsyth gets first round byes. #4 Willow Springs vs #5 Ava 5pm and #3 Reeds Spring vs #6 Hollister at 630pm both games will be played Thursday Oct 20^th. Class 2 district 9 tournament played at Cabool #1 Liberty gets a first-round bye along with #2 Houston. #4 Cabool vs #5 Mansfield at 6pm and then #3 Thayer vs #6 Gainesville at 7pm both games will be played on Thursday Oct 20^th. Class 1 district 7 tournament will be played at Eminence, #1 Winona gets a first-round bye. #2 Eminence vs #7 Dora at 5pm and #3 Summersville vs #6 Kosh at 6pm and #4 Bakersfield vs #5 Couch on Friday Oct 21^st.

38 Teams competed in the 2022 Grizzly Golf Classic this past Monday afternoon at the West Plains Country Club. Winning the Championship flight with a 50, 20 under Sheridan, Lambel and Haynes. Winning A flight with a 61, 9 under Hutchings, Guffey and Williams. Winning B flight with a 64, 6 under Bird, Bice and Joyce. Longest drive was won by John Coleman. MSU-WP Booster club thanks all the golfers and sponsors of this fund rising event.

The Missouri State West Plains Grizzlies Basketball program has some new coaches on the bench for this upcoming season Ozark Radio Sports talked with Head coach Jared Phay about the new faces on the bench this year.

Grizzlies will hit the hardwood in October with a scrimmage Saturday at 1pm at Crowley’s Ridge and then two more scrimmage games Tue Oct 18^th at the WPCC vs United Prep at 7pm and again Tue Oct 25^th at the WPCC vs Link Year Prep Post Grad at 630pm. and of course, you will be able to catch all the Grizzly basketball games on 102.5 KDY starting Nov 1^st

The MSU-WP Lady Grizzly Volleyball team will be in Hillsboro tonight in a region 16 match up with Jefferson College at 630.
