WEST PLAINS, Mo. – A player with ties to a Grizzly Hall of Famer will join the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Basketball team for the 2022-2023 season.
Jerimiah Dotson, a 6-foot, 7-inch forward from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, recently signed a national letter of intent to play for the Grizzlies during the upcoming season, Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Jared Phay said.
Dotson, who was a standout at the highly successful Brown Deer High School in Wisconsin, played this past season at We Are United Prep in Nixa under the tutelage of Grizzly Hall of Famer Robert Yanders (1998-2000).
“Jerimiah has been well coached and can play multiple positions, but what I like most about him is how much he talks about winning,” said Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Jared Phay. “He also is hungry to work and get better.”
“Jerimiah is a hard-nosed, tough player with a winner’s mentality,” Yanders said.
Dotson is the second player signed by Phay for next season. In February, Phay announced the re-signing of Martaveon Jones, a 6-foot, 2-inch sophomore guard from Kansas City who played for the Grizzlies during the 2020-2021 season. Jones chose to sit out the 2021-2022 campaign due to personal reasons, Phay said.
