Jared Phay, head coach of the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Basketball team, today announced the signing of Chanler Sisco from Alton.
The 6-foot, 2-inch guard averaged 20 points and eight rebounds per game this past season while helping lead the Comets to a 24-6 overall record. The Comets reached the Missouri Class 2A state quarterfinals earlier this year before falling to Bernie High School 51-49 in overtime.
“I really like Chanler’s athleticism. He did a lot for Alton,” Phay said.
Sisco, who is a two-time Big Spring Conference Player of the Year and two-time all-state honoree, played for Norman Hollis until his senior season. He was coached by Jarod Kelly this past season.
“He has been well coached,” Phay said. “Coach Hollis in particular has coached college basketball, and Coach Kelly did a great job this past season, so I know Chanler is prepared to play college basketball. We are excited to have him in our program.”
