Grizzly Softball competed in their first fall scrimmage game this weekend in Harrison, AR. at North-Ark College. Grizzlies went 0-2 this weekend.
Coach Long says; “Despite the loss, I was very pleased with our effort this weekend. We had many girls really step up and show a lot of toughness in both games on Saturday. Our pitching stepped up and we battled at the plate, hitting the ball well. I would like to shout out some of our girls for their efforts-Sarah Fehr did a great job behind the plate for the Grizzlies. Megan McCrackin was outstanding in the outfield and at the plate. Molly Poole hit the ball well. Kenzie Massey had a solid game overall. Hailey Garrison hit an inside-the-park home run. Lexie Bridges did a nice job in right field for us. After this weekend, we know what we need to do to fine-tune the little things. Overall, I was very pleased with our girls and their performance this weekend. I would like to personally thank the Grizzly fans and supporters who showed up on Saturday! I was pleased to see that our crowd more than doubled that of North-Ark! That is awesome!
