“We are truly excited with the addition of Kyra to our volleyball family,” Figueiredo said. “We were searching for a strong libero to add to our roster. We wanted someone with her experience and passion for the game and a team mentality, and she proved to be the perfect fit.

“She is transferring from a strong program where she stood out as a player and a teammate,” Figueiredo added. “She wants to compete at a high level and looks forward to being part of a team that truly shows commitment while caring for each other and the community. We look forward to working with Kyra this fall.”

Mueller said the Grizzlies’ competitiveness and the opportunity to perform and compete at a high level drew her to the program. “I also loved Coach Paty and (Volunteer Assistant Coach) Robson (Da Costa) and their goals for the team and giving back to the community,” Mueller explained.

Grizzly fans can expect to see an eager student athlete on and off the court, Mueller said. “I am eager to get good grades and be successful in the classroom, and I try to channel that same energy into the way I train and play,” she said. “I think that having an aggressive mentality shows in both my academic and athletic life.”

“She is transferring from a strong program where she stood out as a player and a teammate,” Figueiredo said. “
