WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Paty Figueiredo, interim head coach of the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Volleyball team, has announced the signing of transfer setter from Odessa College in Odessa, Texas.
She is Raphaela Felisberto from Minas, Brazil. She recorded 98 assists and 27 digs in the 13 matches she played for the Wranglers last season.
“We are very happy with the addition of Raphaela to our 2023 roster,” Figueiredo said. “Raphaela will bring a lot of experience and excitement to our team. She is a setter who understands the game and will be able to make our offense play at a fast tempo. During our conversations, Raphaela demonstrated great leadership, and we are excited to see what she will accomplish with our team.”
Felisberto said she is “hard working and driven, both as a student and as a volleyball player. I am always willing to learn new things and always focused on achieving and fighting for my goals.”
She also said she was very happy to find “such an incredible and complete program.”
