Kansas City suffered its sixth straight loss in a 4-2 setback against the Cleveland Guardians at Kauffman Stadium. Maikel Garcia and Kyle Isbel each had an RBI in a game where the Royals were limited to just two hits. Starting pitcher Michael Wacha was charged with the loss after he allowed two runs through five frames. The Royals are third in the AL Central at 75-and-64. They host the Guardians again tonight. Right-hander Brady Singer is slated to start against Cleveland righty Tanner Bibee. In other news, manager Matt Quatraro missed the game due to a personal matter.
