Paul DeJong drove in the team’s lone run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning. Starting pitcher Brady Singer was charged with the loss and dropped to 9-and-10 on the season after allowing two runs in just under six innings of work. The Royals remain third in the AL Central at 75-and-65. They close out their series against the Guardians tonight. Right-hander Seth Lugo is scheduled to start opposite Cleveland righty Ben Lively.
