Friday night in Mountain View, Missouri and you know what that means, it’s Liberty Eagles basketball. Before the game against the Salem Tigers it was the annual Hoop Queen coronation. Your 2020 Hoop Queen is none other than Kennedy Cooly. After the festivities earlier in the night the Eagles kept the momentum and the spirit going as it was a quick first half and they got ahead 40-23 at halftime. Four players for Liberty scored in double figures; Zack Stretch(20) Kaden Daniels(20) Jaris Acklin(17) Zeb Cornman(12). The Salem Tigers were led by Lucas Morrison who had 18 points and Reese Dodson had 15. The Eagles would get a large lead and never look back as they would go on to win 79-58. The Liberty Eagles move to 15-4 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. Next week they play at the Thayer Bobcats and at home against the Panthers from Mountain Grove.
