Lady Panthers hold on to number two national ranking

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— For the second-straight week, the Drury Lady Panthers are ranked second in the nation in the NCAA-II coaches’ poll.

Drury is 12-1 and won their lone game last week, a 79-62 victory at home against Michigan Tech on Saturday.

Lubbock Christian (11-1) stayed in first place in that national poll received 18 votes for number one. Texas A&M-Commerce (10-0) is ranked third and received five first votes, while Lander (8-1) is ranked fourth, and Fort Hays State (9-1) is fifth.

This week’s poll marks the 124th consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been ranked in the top 25, the longest streak in the nation. It is also their 62nd straight week in the top 10.

Drury is idle until Jan. 2 when they host William Jewell for a 1 pm game in the O’Reilly Family Event Center.
