WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The West Plains High School Lady Zizzers swim season is off to a great start.
On December 5, the Lady Zizzers kicked off their season with some strong swims at the non-scoring All-Relays meet in Springfield. The highest place finish for the team was in the 500 Progressive Free Relay at 2nd place with a time of 5:51.54. Sophomore Brayden Kantola swam 50 meters, senior Olivia Fiorino swam 100 meters, senior Mia Harris swam 150 meters, and sophomore Gilly Grigsby swam 200 meters to finish the race.
On December 13, the Lady Zizzers went 3-1 in duals beating Ozark, Republic, and MB-BT Liberty. The lone loss was to Glendale.
Two individual swims by senior Olivia Fiorino in the 50 Freestyle (26.33), the 100 Freestyle (58.73) and one relay team, the 200 Freestyle, have already posted Missouri State Swim Meet consideration times. The 200 Freestyle relay team of junior Sofia Fiorino, sophomore Gilly Grigsby, senior Mia Harris, and senior O. Fiorino placed 3rd with a time of 1:57.35.
