West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Lady Zizzers hosted the Ozark Lady Tigers on a brisk Thursday evening on December 15, 2022. The Zizzers entered the court undefeated and were looking to add another win to the season.
The Lady Zizzers have an amazing defensive game that Ozark had a difficult time with and that was apparent from the start of the first quarter. West Plains kept the Tigers on their toes, fighting for every point, ending the first quarter with the lead 20 to 8. The second quarter was even worse for Ozark, who only scored 4 points to the Zizzers 11 points. At halftime, West Plains maintained the lead with 31 to 12 as the score.
Both teams did better in the third quarter, but just barely. Ozark had a difficult time dealing with turnovers and added 5 points during the quarter. The Lady Zizzers did not manage to do as well as they did in the opening quarter of the game but, continued to grow their lead by 13 points, ending the quarter 44 to 17. The Ozark Lady Tigers had their best performance when most teams who are behind give up, in the fourth quarter. The Lady Tigers managed to double their score but were unable to overtake the Lady Zizzers.
