In the second game of the Mountain Grove Tournament, the Eagles knocked out the host team 88-68. After the first timeout the score was 12-8 as Liberty starts to break away from the Panthers and as the Panthers call a time out to slow things down, but scoring did not slow down for Liberty ending the 1st quarter 27-15. The Liberty Eagles extended their lead 44-27 with only 2:18 left in the half before Mountain Grove calls a time out to try and figure out how to stop the Eagles. At the end of the first half Liberty lead the Panthers 44-32. After an uneventful 3rd quarter, Liberty extends their lead by two ending it 62-48. With 1:45 Mountain Grove pushes a timeout to try to figure out a way to catch the Eagles. The Eagles soared to a substantial lead by this point, 84-61.
