Coming into Friday night the Ava Bears had won 28 straight games over their conference foes, that streak ended at the hands of the Liberty Eagles. Liberty took the opening drive 56 yards in five plays to take the early lead and punched the ball in the end zone two more times to take an 18-0 lead into the half. The Eagles then recovered the second half kick but was unable to capitalize on the opportunity. The Ava Bears pulled close but came up short as Liberty wind 26-18 behind huge performances by Carter Pruett 109 yards rushing and an 82 yard pass to Noah Jester (155 yards receiving) With the game wrap here is Gary Lee:
