On Friday night the Mountain View – Birch Tree Liberty Eagles made the trip to Fair Grove to face the Number One Ranked Fair Grove Eagles in the District Championship. Liberty put together a good first drive but stalled and turned the ball over on downs. Fair Grove proceeded to strike first with a touchdown pass to take an early 7-0 lead. Liberty failed to score once again and Fair Grove took a 14-0 lead. Liberty pulled within one score with a 65 yard pass from Gavin Reese to Kyle Roberts, making the score 14-6. Fair Grove scored going into halftime 21-6. Fair Grove outscored Liberty 21-8 in the second half, winning 42-14. Fair Grove took advantage of three Liberty turnovers.
