The Liberty Eagles visited the Bobcats of Thayer on Tuesday night as conference play continued. In the JV game it was an instant classic between the two teams as it went into double overtime and the Thayer Bobcats would come out with a victory beating the Eagles JV squad 63-58.
The Liberty Eagles were led in scoring by Kaden Daniels with 20 points while Thayer had Haven with 25, Andrews with 22, and Gaige Pitts with 11. Thayer got a small, early lead in the first half as it was 26-22 at the half in the Bobcats favor. It would be a different story in the second half however as the Bobcats would outscore the Eagles 42-23 and go on to win the game 68-45. With the loss the Liberty Eagles move to 3-1 in conference play and 15-6 overall while Thayer improves to 18-4 and 3-1 conference play. Liberty will play at home Friday Night against the Mountain Grove Panthers.
