On Friday night the Liberty Eagles played host to the Salem Tigers and got out of the gate fast with a touchdown drive on their first possession. The ensuing kickoff was recovered by Liberty and they had a 14-0 lead before Salem ran an offensive play. Liberty continued to add on taking a 30-0 lead into the half. Salem scored on their first possession of the second half but could not score again. Liberty wins 48-8 behind a stingy defense who got four interceptions and a fumble recovery that lead to four touchdown drives. Liberty plays Houston at the nest next Friday night.
