Licking Lady Wildcats Lose Heartbreaker

On Saturday afternoon at JQH arena in Springfield, the Licking Lady Wildcats took on the heavily favored Strafford Lady Indians in the Class 3 Girls Championship game.

It was the Lady Wildcats who came out strong however, as they would end the first half with a 10 point halftime lead, 37-27. But the Strafford Lady Indians would not go away quietly, as they outscored Licking 20-16 in the 3rd quarter, and 18-9 in the 4th quarter.

Senior Karlee Holland for Licking was the leading scorer for all teams with 33 points. The Lady Wildcats finished their season an impressive 25-7 record.
