A couple of division champions are set to square off in Week 16 when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium. Patrick Mahomes is expected to start for the two-time defending Super Bowl champs despite dealing with a high ankle sprain.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said earlier Thursday that Mahomes took a full practice workload on Thursday, the Chiefs’ final session of the week. He also participated fully in the Tuesday and Wednesday practices.
The 29-year-old has thrown for 3,348 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions this season. Kansas City is 13-and-1 and has clinched the AFC West. The Texans want to finish the regular season on a high after winning three of their last four games. CJ Stroud has thrown for 3,248 yards, 17 touchdowns, and nine picks in his second season. Houston has won the AFC South and is 9-and-5.
